Can I apply a rolled roofing membrane over a metal sunroof?
I went around the entire sunroof and replaced the damaged seams with new and applied the mesh with sealant. I cut off the gutter edge because it was 3" higher than the roof which created a shallow pool. All in all it truly is a poor design. There was ice build up this year and the leak was not as great as in the past. Can I apply rolled rubber membrane to this metal roof?
The slope is slight and water pools and one area... I thought if I just tar and apply the roofing membrane over the tar it would be better than nothing. I've already attempted to seal it as directed. That effort was a waste.

No, the metal expands and contracts with the change in temperature. The roll roof will not stick to the metal and will peal off as the temp changes.
