When should I take protein and what type?

I'm just starting to lift regularly (almost every day) and I'm not sure what type of supplements I should be taking or how often I should be taking them. I am hoping to build muscle but I also want to lose 5-10 pounds in fat.

100% whey protein is good. Take it right after you finish your workout, I take 2 scoops after working out and 1 scoop in the morning, because my body just went 8 hours with no food. Creatine worked well for me, If you take this you will gain like 5 pounds of water weight in the first 2 weeks, but at the end you will have gained mucle. You really have to commit to working out though, if you want to get good results.

You don't have to take any form of protein complement. The key's to have plenty of version on your vitamin. Eating grains and legumes will furnish adequate protein. Most American vegetarians get greater than sufficient protein. While animal protein is extra "whole," in that any person meat comprises close to the entire principal amino acids, 2 plant meals ate up in combination (beans and rice, for instance), are simply as whole. The "completeness" of a meals object is absolutely inappropriate until you're consuming just one or 2 meals models. And who does that?

You should mix between two kinds of protein. Whey protein is known for its fast absorption and thus you should take it before and after your wok out. On the other hand casein protein is known for its slow absorption and thus you should take it in periods when you are going to stay without nutrients for long periods of time such as before going to bed and after waking up.
