SL decide to keep players away from IPL?
SLC and sports minister decided that all the cricketers who participate in England tour should be back on island for practice sessions regardless of private tours or county or IPL.England tour start off on 28th of May and practice session should start 2 weeks before it,which will be the half way of IPL.Sport minister of SL said players should give priority to representing the country.
If this happen(ofcouse anything can happen,if higher order come as let them play in "INDIAN" premier league..:p)it will be a huge blow for franchises like Kochi,Deccan,Mumbai and RCB,losing players like Sanga,Mahela,Dili and Maliga.
So how do you think this will affect IPL and your own country?

if india can bring politics into IPL by excluding Pak, then SL ministers can also prohibit their players from taking part in IPL. It makes sense.

Return by may the 5th. isn't that a bit too early.
"In future, national cricket players can participate in foreign tournaments only in a manner that will not affect practices of the Sri Lankan national team", Mahindananda Aluthgamage
I would like him to actually go say this in someone like sangakkara's face than making threats behind the back.maybe next time they could check the major events before making a schedule
SL sports minister should have no right over sri lanka cricket. only the cricket professional should be allowed to make a decision and let the players know if it's needed.
I can tell you that Mahindananda Aluthgamage's daily routine is basically eat, drink and sleep. making comments in the public's face comes naturally to him.

All teams play at least 22 players. So, they will rely on more reliable players. Sri Lankan Board should have been more professional. If they didn't want their players to play on "INDIAN" Premier League, they shouldn't have allowed their players in IPL auction. This would have allowed franchises to take other available players instead of blocking certain amount of money on the players who are not dependable. Better leave out players from Sri Lanka from next time.

Ministers and all other politicians should stay away from making such threats or warrants. It has to be players to decide - of course for them Country always comes first - which means players are available to local IPL teams for a certain period. Huge blow or not, it is for IPL teams to plan ahead of all such plans.
We have seen even such news coming from Pak minister just before the Ind-Pak match. That was not necessary but the minister made a fool of himself in front of the world.

I’d choose to repeat some paras from Cricinfo ditto. "Politics for this reason has constrained our presence, our concept to play in each thing of India. yet i do no longer think of activities and spirit of cricket is ever going to be curtailed through such prejudice," Sangakkara informed PTI. "The build-up has been distinctive and tough for Sri Lankan gamers. yet on the tip of the day they're right here to play IPL." "The Sri Lankan Cricket Board has made it clean that no Sri Lankan gamers would be [enjoying] in Chennai. [yet] India is a lot greater beneficial than Chennai and Tamil Nadu, and that i think of something of India has been very welcoming human beings." Responding to comments from former gamers stating that the Sri Lankans could boycott the IPL via regulations, Sangakkara suggested: "it extremely is been a divisive subject lower back domicile as nicely. yet it extremely isn't any longer a usa as against usa subject. it extremely is in uncomplicated terms a state... and that i do no longer think of it extremely is the completed state [Tamil Nadu]. "So, we've to place it interior the splendid perspective. foreign places regulations are no longer likely to be dictated through that and had it been a usa as against usa subject then Sri Lankan gamers does no longer have been right here."
