Looking for the proper sneaker?

Hi, I work in the healthcare profession & lately I have been having alot of pain in my arches ( like a bruised feeling)

I am wondering if anyone knows of a good walking shoe that could relive some of the pressure from the arch.

And if indeed there is a shoe out there that is better than the rest for my type of work

I have found that shoes with gel cushioning in the soles help a lot. You can also buy gel inserts at the drug store, and while these are not as good as a great pair of shoes, they do help. Some of the Skechers are very good, and also Asics and New Balance in the department store brands. Actually some of the Earth shoes sold by Walmart are very good, but not that durable - they will last you probably only a few months of daily use.

If you can afford to buy a more expensive pair of shoes check here. Look through some of the different models and see what you think. If you have a store in your area that specializes in orthopedic shoes check there. You will find good shoes, but they will be expensive.
