Is it a rash or bug bites?
My daughter stayed home from school yesterday with an upset stomach.
she felt like she was going to vomit, but didn't.
she slept most of the day and when she woke up she had what looked like a line of mosquito bites on her leg, and a cluster of them on her stomach. She started to scratch them and they puffed up and the whole area turned red. I gave her some benedryl and put some caladryl on the bumps. This seemed to help a lot but the bumps are still there. I also changed her sheets and vacuumed her mattress, sprayed it with lysol and she has always had a mattress cover on her bed, so i washed it too. This morning there seems to be more of them, on both her legs and her stomach. I tried looking it up online and keep coming up with spider bites, but wouldn't the spider be gone after i cleaned everything on her bed? If it's a rash wouldn't it be all over her body? She seems to be feeling much better now except for the red bumpy rash. It's raised, puffy, and in clusters just on her torso, and legs. I can't get a doctor appt. today and if i could, i don't have a way to get there since my car is in the shop. So i'm here asking for an opinion since i'm worried. I have to wait til tomorrow to see her pediatrician. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
It seemed to almost disappear with the benedryl, but came back after her bath. I decided to skip the doctor since it seems to be getting better.

Given the upset stomach it sounds like she has some type of virus. The skin reaction could be part of the virus taking hold.

They do seem like bug bites, possibly from going out side.
If it's itchy and they're red then that IS a mosquito bite I've had them plenty of times.
Just simply keep her inside a bit more, apply the cream on every 4-6 hours ,
and if they are itching then give her some medican possibly paracetomal
if she is younge then crush it up and put it in a yogurt or something.
Hope this helps and the bumps go away! :D

If the bumps become hard and feels like they have puss under them then you need to see a doctor. My 15 month old had an infected hair folicle on his abdomen and it started to swell and it ended up turning into a boil and had to be cut open and drained. Anything can turn into an infection and nothing is your fault but it is very important that you check your little one for a fever every now and then.

Seems to be an infection, cannot be sure without looking at it.. torso and legs are pretty common sites, nothing to worry. Just palliative-ly treat for itch and show her to a doctor..
