Guys any explanation as to why this apple symbol doesn't show when typed on Facebook?
It shows when typed but it disappears when you enter to comment or use it in status÷

Facebook will also support certain kinds of fonts and a set of symbols in the comment fields. It's quite possible that this apple symbol is not supported.
I have faced similar issues before.

That character is Unicode U+F8FF which is the last character in the base plane private use block in Unicode. See http://www.fileformat.info/info/unicode/char/searc... .
The private use block is to be used for fonts to display character not in the Unicode character set for special purposes. See http://www.unicode.org/charts/PDF/UE000.pdf .
The apple-less-a-bite symbol is trade-marked by the company Apple and therefore may not be included in the Unicode character set which does not include any trade-marked symbols but only symbols that are free for use anywhere.
Accordingly Apple assigns it to the last Unicode value in the base plane private use block.
But even on an Apple machine, not every font will have it.
See http://hea-www.harvard.edu/~fine/OSX/unicode_apple... . Since the Unicode position U+F8FF cannot be guaranteed to contain any particular symbol in Unicode, apparently Facebook prevents it and any private use characters from appearing, otherwise you might think that because it looks fine on your system, that it will look fine on everyone's system.
