bb and pellet gun help me?

There are TONS of air rifles that will push a super light pellet out the muzzle at well over 1000FPS....the problem is that those super light pellets are WORTHLESS.

Like was mentioned above, with air rifles, you really do want one that will push a fairly heavy pellet out the muzzle at between 800 and 950 FPS so that you maintain accuracy...you do want to hit your target right?

Take a look at pyramid air web site and start reading reviews of air rifles in the caliber you want and price range you can afford...then, come back here and ask more questions...repeat process until you are settled on the air rifle you are most confident in.

Walter talon magnum. $200 dollars. it gets 1400fps with hi-velocity pellets in .177 and 1200 with lead pellets(regular ones). You can get it in .22 caliber version too which gets 1150 with hi-velo and 980(chrono speed so it is an actual speed) with regular pellets. The .22 has about double the power of the .177. The .177 is good within 90 yards the .22 is good within about the same distance.

IMO, sporting air rifles perform best(combination of accuracy and trajectory) when you keep the muzzle velocity between 800fps and 950fps. Too slow the trajectory suffers, too fast accuracy does. You control the MV by matching pellet weight to the power of your rifle.
