okay, so if you choose the movies you use carefully, you should be able to find things that will work...for instance:

"ET"....you should be able to find an et doll or figure around somewhere like ebay.

"star wars"...there are still tons of star wars things out there on the market you could use

"indiana jones".... you could find a small chest and decorate it and paint it gold to make it look like the ark in raiders

"batman"....still lots of things on the current market for this one

"top gun" a cool looking model jet airplane with "top gun" written on it

"little mermaid"....still plenty of stuff out there for this one.

"crocodile dundee".... a toy croc with a dundee type hat in his mouth? or a big bowie knife

"cocktail"....this one is easy....a huge martini glass, available at http://www.save-on-crafts.com/

"superman II"...another easy one to find things for. just a nice sized superman doll would work

"karate kid".....an action figure dressed in a karate suit

"princess bride"....lots of stuff could work for this one too. perhaps a barbie in a princess outfit

"dirty dancing"....a real 45 record of one of the songs they danced to

    ""ghostbusters"....a pillsbury doughboy doll

"caddy shack"....a stuffed animal that looks like a gopher with a golf ball in his mouth?

Based on the limited information given, I would suggest that you could do something based on the theme of the original wedding. If there was something about the decor of the wedding (such as the flowers, the colour of the bridesmaid's dresses, or even the colour of the tableclothes), you could use that as part of a theme for the party. If there was something about the location of the wedding that you liked (such as the beach or a beautiful mountaintop vista or otherwise notable aspect), you could make that into a theme for the party. As it was twenty five years ago, you could make a theme out of the era in which you were married. (The 1980's is a good theme; early 1980's is especially good since it has that hint of the 1970's plus the Reagan era.) If none of those things suit you, there are a number of summer themes you can tap into since it is being held in July. The traditional summer barbeque is always a good solid basic concept. In going from there, you could host a Hawaiian style luau (complete with Hawaiian style shirts and all manner of creatures being roastd on a grill and/or fire pit). There are other themes that can be done easily as well (such as a beach and surfing theme); it is a matter of personal taste. I think the bigger decision is determining to what extent do you want to be involved in party preparation and implimentation. Since it is a special occassion, you could have the event catered (just like you did for your original reception). You could have additional entertainment (such as a DJ or other performers); you could possibly even have someone decorate the your place for you. Or host it as a local location. Good luck.

That's a cool idea. I love '80s movies and memorabilia! I'm sure you can print out movie posters from all the movies you want your tables to be named after from the internet and use those. As for props, I would try looking online for random stuff like that on either Craig's List or e-bay. People hold onto the weirdest crap.
