What time does your 6 month old go to bed?

My son has a bedtime routine and it begins at 7pm so he ends up sleeping anywhere from 730pm - 8pm depending on how long it takes to feed, or how long he plays in the bath!

Just curious as to other bedtimes?

Is it true that for every baby there is a perfect time for them to go to sleep? Maybe if I change it to later he will go to bed easier?

Thanks

There is no perfect time for babies to sleep. They are just like you and me, and sometimes they are just not ready for bed. A good routine my wife and I found was after 7pm we didn't over stimulate the baby, no TV, no loud noise, keeping the house lights down. Now she is 19months and will go down for by 8pm or 9pm and sleep all night long.

At six months my son was going to sleep at around 7-730. You can try to put him to bed earlier or later and do a trial each night to see what is best for both of you. My son would sleep from 730pm-730am and ur would wake up once in the night so I tried putting him to bed later to see if he would sleep later but he just kept waking up at 730am so I stuck with the 730 bedtime. Now at 13 months he goes to bed no earlier than 8.

  • My 6 month old goes to bed at 8h30-9 the latest. She goes to bed late because we don't get home until 5h30 the earliest. She does sleep as often as she wants during the day. She usually naps on the bus on our way home from daycare

With our son, we picked a drop dead 7pm bed time. it worked great. But we got lucky, he never woke up in the middle of the night either. But it is different for every child. Babies thrive on consistancy. So if the time you picked works, why change it ?

Both of mine were going down between 6:30 - 7:00 at that age.

The perfect time is just whenever they are getting tired - but not yet overtired.

I don't think that u can easily change it!

You may be really annoyed by the baby if u do it!!!!
