I have a jade plant too! It's pretty cool. But my favorite house plant is a hoya. It's different from a lot of plants, with a lot of interesting features. The vines move around a lot on their own, they're always pointing a different direction when I look at it. Also, if it flowers (it doesn't always flower because I guess it needs pretty specific conditions, but it's not impossible..) the flowers look really cool and smell amazing.
Also you only have to water it twice a month, (I've seen people say otherwise but the person who said twice a month had pictures of a lot of big healthy hoyas so I took their advice and it's worked out great for me) so it's easy to take care of, like a jade plant.

there are so many plants that are easy to grow inside. depends on the window light you have, whether you really like to water . the jade plant is certainly a good one. the best light you could give it is a southern window and make sure you don't over water it. it will grow great for you on the dry side. never be afraid to cut it back it only makes them bigger. you can start a new plant just from a leaf that lays on top of the soil or a cutting. also many low light plants you can grow away from a window. check out Dracenas many many different kinds and can grow in very low light. also the Aglonemas. just remember this more light more water, less light less water. the most common mistake people make is over watering. my job was taking care of plants in private homes and business caring for all inside and outside plants. my family is in the greenhouse business and believe it or not my maiden name is Gardner. have fun with it it's a great hobby!

Aren't having green thumbs just Fab? Go to the nursery and ask where the house plants are most have tags and will give you a general direction on their needs. Have fun!!

I like the schefflera because it's pretty low maintenance and tolerant of various light conditions. The jade doesn't want to be watered too much and needs high light.

I would suggest a "Wondering Jew"
Philidendrums (I know I din't spell that right)
Spider plants are also cool.
All of these can be started with just a clipping.
