where are all the atheist or agnostic "ex-gays"?

have you ever heard anyone who claimed to have stopped being outside the belief system that condemns homosexuality?

there is certainly motivation in our society to not want to be gay, as gay people are still harassed, discriminated against, and denied their civil right to marry, wouldn't you think that people other than the very religious would want to change to make their lives easier?

Update:

left out a word. stop being GAY outside the belief system . . .

my point is that if it were really possible it wouldn't just be the very religious claiming it's possible. I never did buy it in the first place, funny that the church doesn't support the free will of homosexuals.

Update 2:

cancel, find an adult to read you the big words. I stated why.

Update 3:

@realist: I'd put my IQ up against your shoe size any day. was going to say "your IQ", but then I decided to give you the handicap of the larger of the two numbers.

Update 4:

you've missed my point, David, I think the entire "ex-gay" thing is utter nonsense, and I think the fact that you only ever hear about it from religions bigoted against gays proves that their claims are nonsense.

It's not possible to be an ex-gay. That is why only religious nuts put on the pretense of being an ex-gay. Religious people are well known for doing, and believing, stupid things.

You seem to think that there are people that want to be gay just because it is more difficult. No one chooses the hard way of life. Gays and lesbians are gays and lesbians because they are, for the most part, wired that way. Some have been so affected by trauma that they choose to live the life but they are the minority and are no more capable of change than genetic gays and lesbians.

    Ex gays? I think not.

Agnosticism is a place on information. An agnostic believes that it is not conceivable to understand something a pair of god for specific. An agnostic atheist is man or woman who would not understand for specific yet although would not have self assurance a god exists. A gnostic atheist states that no god exists. An agnostic theist says he's undecided, yet believes that a god exists. A gnostic theist is surely specific that a god exists.

I used to belong to this Church and there was a member who was Gay, he then supposedly turned from HIS SIN and wasn't Gay any more. He still talked, walked and acted Gay but wasn't gay anymore according to the church. He even went on to marry a beautiful woman and they had a baby about 2 years ago, BUT guess what Christians, he is now gay again and his family is in shambles , he no longer attends church anymore but he is back to square 1, so MAYBE HE WAS BORN THIS WAY, NO????

Who's looking for ex-gays? Only the Christians. And when they can't find any, they manufacture them.

Atheists and agnostics don't believe in sin or God, so why would they stop being gay?

Being gay is a choice, a temptation by Satan. Either you fall for it or not. If don't you will know the Truth

I doubt that there really are "ex-gays."
