is choosing the sex of your child wrong?
me and my husband desperately want a little girl and we just found out that we are pregnant with our 3rd boy. Not that we are not greatful for having our boys we will love the child no matter what.! We are debating to going to a fertility specialist that can separate girl sperm from boy sperm and getting the girl we always dreamed of. Is this moraly wrong or going agaisnt God? I am a Christian and would not want to try and play God but we really want a little girl

I can understand what you are saying completly and honestly i feel as though you should do what makes you happy, who are we to criticise what you want or how you raise your children... In saying this though i do feel that what you saying is conflicting. on one hand you love god enough to follow his judgement, leadings and pathways in life but you dont believe him enough to choose the right child for you......*please* this is very hypocritical.......so which is it???... like i said i personally couldnt care but your statement about you beloved almighty is basically saying "Your wrong, i dont care i will have what i want" .......
Good luck i hope you get a healthy happy baby because you should prefer that over all other, who cares about the sex...

From a religious standpoint, yes it would be wrong - for many reasons.
Also - when you do make a 'girl baby' from the 'girl sperm' many embryos are made and not all will come to life. I don't think religion would take too well to bringing 'life' into embryos and destroying them later.

I respect your religious beliefs but everyone has done wring in the eyes of god. I'm a Christian and I believe. BUT you have that right & I don't think you're wrong at all. Go for it!

Traditional Christians believe that choosing a sex of your child is wrong, and that it is unnatural. Birth should be natural, you cannot mess with gods plan etc, im not religious so i dont care but in my opinion, its your choice and you should do what you want.
