If there was a female president, what would her husband's title be?

The wife of a president is called "The First Lady", so what would the husband of a president be called?

    First gentleman.

    Technically, the title "First Lady" is made up. It's not law. Therefore, the term "first gentleman" (or whatever) would only be used because it's the generally understood title.

    It's possible that a presidential spouse could insist on being called something else.
