law of IRS in Canada?

I am native from Cuba and a Canadian citizen i had stay with my father in USA is it true that making my taxes i got a penalty of 1200. because i am living in Canada anymore

    IRS will not penalize you for living in Canada.

    Your question makes no sense. There's no "penalty" in the US Tax Code for being a Canadian.

    if you worked in the US while living with your father you would file a tax return if you had a SSN or ITIN number

    you would be taxed like anyone else who works in the US

    the IRS is a US agency, not Canadian
