Acid Reflux Home Remedy Using Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple Cider Vinegar is an amazing remedy for Acid Reflux. It may sound bizarre to drink an acid as a cure for an acid problem, but there are good acids and bad acids and Apple Cider Vinegar is among the good ones.

Add 1 teaspoon of apple cider vinegar to 1/2 glass of water.

Sip this glass of water while eating your dinner.

Other than avoiding the foods that cause this, high acidic foods like tomatoes or red wine, sometimes even beer. Another idea would be to be sure to stop consuming those items at least 2 hours before you lie down, because that increases the possibility the acids will bubble up the esophagus and burn your tube, which is essentially what happens. And drink lots of water.

Also, Prilosec is a daily pill you need to take, you can't just take it everytime you have a problem, so don't take that unless your doctor gives it to you. I use Rolaids, the chewy fruity ones. They work almost immediately and you don't have to take them daily, only when you have a problem.

If you are young (less than 30 years old) - take some tylenol or ibuprofen. If you are over this age, you need a cardiac evaluation whether you have health insurance or not. Chest pain that radiates is your heart crying for oxygen because there is a blockage or narrowing of one of your coronary vessels. One of these days, it could close completely and you will be having your first heart attack. Prevention is a whole lot cheaper than intervention. A doctor visit is minute compared to hospitalization, cardiac cath, rehab. Take care of the problem now while it is still relatively minor before it becomes a BIG problem. Also, you can die with your very first heart attack.

There are heaps of things that can help your acid reflux, most of them are simply changes to your diet. You will generally find that something specific that you are eating or drinking is causing the reflux to occur. Another major cause of reflux is a persons weight, the anti-reflux barrier can end up stretched out of shape in over weight people.

I have not seen mentioned merely that changing your diet to increase the number of smaller meals eaten can make a huge difference. I have found this to help dramatically, and to make a move to a more raw, unprocessed diet. Salads, fruits and good protein sources are a great place to start. Baking soda too for quick relief, not a solution.

See a professional Homeopath or Naturopath. This can be cured completely with the right help. Drugs are a really poor choice - -they don't cure it, destroy your stomach acid and leave you in worse shape than when you started.
