Where to get a hamster bag?
My hamster likes going shopping with me and I want to buy a kind of handbag which has a transparent compartment, probably at the bottom, where my hamster can be housed. Where can I get such a bag? If not, where can I get custom-made?

Hamsters do not enjoy going shopping with you or being carried around. While some small dogs usually tolerate sitting in people's bags during their shopping sprees, rodents aren't dogs honey. All rodents have the natural preference to stay in quiet places, and hide from loud noises or new overwhelming sounds. Dogs LOVE sniffing around, and exploring new areas. Rodents are usually stressed by this.
Hamsters are nocturnal, meaning you need to be leaving it in the cage during the day so it can sleep properly. You also have no way of administrating food or water, or cleaning up feces and urine. The stress your pet will inevitably feel will also make it not want to eat or drink at all. Your hamster will only want to hide. Please do not take your hamster shopping anymore. I know you must be very proud to think your hamster is so awesome you can do this kind of stuff with it, but you need to be a bit more considerate for the type of animal it is. Ever wonder why NO ONE carries hamsters around with them? There are great reasons for that. Also the reason why there are no such thing as "hamster bags" - no one would put a delicate little nocturnal rodent in a carry bag!

I had a hamster just a couple years ago, and I have never heard of such a thing. Maybe you need to re-think it before you buy one. What if the hamster goes to the bathroom while it's in the handbag? What if it needs food or water?

Something like this is probably the closest thing you are going to find:

Anyway, the hamster would probably be happier in his cage while you are out shopping. Rodents can get sick very easily in the "outside world" so you should consider leaving him at home for his health as well.
