printer ink cartridge problems?

hp all-in-one 1610 printer (i dont really think this matters but whatever)

i get this error "remove and check right cartridge". (which is my black cartridge)

Ok.........what about it? ive inspected that thing from all angles and i see NOTHING wrong....

put it back in. "remove and check right cartridge". OKAY! what about it!?

can someone please help me becz its driving me crazy....

    wipe the contacts with damp cloth of rubbing alcohol, if that doesn't work replace it.

    If this is a 3rd party cartridge or even a cart you refill at home, then chances are the chip in cart is dead and therefore not registering. If its a brand new cart, then try and get a refund due to fault goods.

    It is also possible that that the chip reader in the printer is damaged or has hair/dust on it. So try and gingerly clean it. Things like tissue paper can be abrasive so dont use that. Best to blow it or whip with glasses cloth or other micro fiber material.
