Do liberals think Fox News should be shut down?

Honestly, would you prefer the only Mainstream somewhat conservative outlet be shutdown? Because I haven’t heard any conservatives claiming that liberal outlets like MSNBC be shutdown.

Update:

@ Alex Tubruton – You are kidding right. Media Matters has made it their #1 priority.

No, they don't. They just think it's time for those people to do something constructive. ∠°)

I'm not a liberal but it would be nice if there was a responsibility for "news" channels to provide factual news. Fox is a propaganda machine and every intellectual/journalist knows it. A simple fact checking session ( I recommend you check facts about any issue you are emotional/excited about) will show the overwhelming exaggerated/misleading amount of "information" of Fox. Fox makes compelling EMOTIONAL arguments, and that is where there viewer base comes from.

Yes. "Journal List," a sort of club for liberal news folks promulgated a resolution calling for government to COMPEL FOX News to LIE for the benefit of Democrat policy else be shut down.

I think that and I'm not even liberal! Fox news has been proven to mislead the most amount of people out of all the big news stations in the nation. It has said many false statements and has proven the insanity that is the conservative majority. If you want proof about the misleading thing, here's a link to a scientific study that shows that Fox News misleads the most amount of people.

There isn't a fully independent, unbiased network out there, so I'd keep it to grant people the ability to watch conservative and liberal programming and find their opinion in the middle ground.

Not all liberals are like that. Just look at the example of all the other liberal news stations that supported fox news when obama tried to exclude them at the begining of his presidency.

Fox should definitely be shut down because it is harmful to the American democratic system as described in the video documentary linked to below.

I gave up on news a long time ago, I only look into government sights and such for my information, the most reliable I could find.

I'm fairly liberal and I don't think it should be shut down.

Even if I don't agree with what they are saying I do believe in freedom of speech and press. And besides I want to know what garbage the far right is buying into.

No one should be shutdown. Obviously. The free market will decide who succeeds and fails.

    i hope this helps

Almost no one is calling for them to be shut down. But people do like to make fun of them for their obvious bias on a channel with "news" in the name. They are a lot farther to the right than "somewhat conservative."

edit: That's why I said "Almost no one". Media matters certainly fits that.
