Why does my skin peel? How to stop it?

You know how you get a sunburn and your skin peels? Well the bottom of my feet have been doing that a lot lately. Why? It's so gross. They are really dry too? How can I fix it?

    Just let it peel

When you see the new skin, keep it moisturized. Also, massage your foot so it can soften up

If you want all the dead skin to go, soak your feet in warm water for about half an hour and then scrub them

It could be a big mixture of things, the most serious being something like Athletes Foot (the Fungal Infection)..

But it could also be a large number of simple things. Like the socks you wear, the shoes you wear, if you wear flip flops too much, lack of cleaning, dry skin, etc.

The simplest fix is just to put a good feet moisturizer on them. They sell them at many common stores. A brand that I'd personally recommend is the "Foot Works" by Avon. They sell a huge variety of foot care products from exfoliating rubs, to moisture sprays and pads, to lotions. They are quite cheap too!

    Good luck!

your feet are peeling because the skin is dead, and needs to shed. i'd get a pumice stone and rub your feet region with the stone to get all the dead skin off, then put lotion on your feet and keep them as moisturized and hydrated as possible.

    good luck!

Likely it is athlete's foot fungus. Keep your feet clean and use Tinactin ointment as directed.
