Tips for travelling by car with a 10 month old?
My husband and I are going tomorrow on a 4 hour car trip to see his dying grandmother. We are taking our 10 month old with us. Any advice/tips to make it as easy as possible on her and us? This is the first time that she will be away from home overnight and leaving her behind with anyone is not an option

Bring a few bottles that are already filled with the correct ounces of water so that making formula will be easy. I am not sure if you breastfeed, but if you do I would recommend pumping and storing in a small cooler because stopping for feeding will be time consuming and will slow down the drive.
Set up a changing area in the back seat. Bring a small laundry basket with a plastic bag for possible dirty clothes, and another for dirty diapers. In the basket be sure to bring water for formula, bottles water to wash the baby off if there are any messy accidents, diapers, and clothes. Also, bring any medicines that you could possibly need in an emergency if the baby comes down with something.
Always pack for a few days extra of baby clothes, diapers, formula, and wipes in case there is a situation and are not able to return home as soon as expected.
My daughter always sleeps in the car on long rides, so pack snacks for you and your husband to reduce traveling costs and stress on the baby to have to stop often or so that you do not have to wake up the sleeping baby. Bring a rolled up small blanket or small pillow to keep your babies head positioned so that they do not become uncomfortable.
I am not sure what your sleeping arrangements will be overnight, but be sure to pack extra blankets in case of an accident and so that the baby is comfortable and has soothing items that remind them of home.
Plan on taking a thirty minute break in the middle of your trip to let all of y'all have a breather to sit outside. There are usually rest spots off of major highways, so you should plan ahead for a nice spot.

My daughter travels that far with ease. Do try to take advantage of her normal sleeping hours so that the time passes more quickly for her. I try to feed her, change her and load her into a car that is already packed... and hope that she sleeps for the next two plus hours. I also always leave the radio on. It drowns out the ambulance or car honking.
I also take a toys that are easily washed off in the sink for cleanliness from being wherever while she sleeps. A new toy never hurts either!

make sure you bring things to entertain her as well as those things that she needs such as bottles and diapers. likely she will just sleep. when i was a kid my parents used to leave for trips early in the morning because then us kids would at least sleep the first hours of the trip as we hardly ever woke up even as babies before 7am. so getting up and caring us to the car at 5am meant we slept for the first 2 hours and given our predilection as kids to fall asleep in the car that was often stretched out into maybe another 2-3 hours. a 4 hour trip then could have then been done without us waking up at all.
also take along her bed blanket/ quilt. it will give the bed she will be sleeping in for your trip a more familiar feel so she will sleep better.

Taking a dash one away whilst so youthful is the least perplexing time as babies will sleep everywhere!! in basic terms be constructive you're taking of course the fundamentals. If bottle feeding, be constructive you utilize mineral water to lead them to up and take sterilising pills. in basic terms be constructive you may purchase the formula you like once you get there or if no longer, take it with you. you may purchase cartons if necessary for the flight (airport risk-free practices with beverages!) If want be take a suitcase basically for toddler as that's extra helpful to have too plenty stuff than no longer sufficient!! Bub should not be a topic. they do exactly no longer commute mild at this age unfortuately!!! stable success :-)
