Couldn't find anything decent to eat.

The first couple weeks you work out or go on a diet, you automatically lose about 10 pounds or so just from water weight, but after you get that down, it's much more difficult to lose the weight and an average of about 1-2 pounds a week or 4-8 pounds a month is the best way to go about things. 10 pounds of real fat a month is just a little bit too much.

I don't think it is unhealthy for the first 4 weeks of a change in your eating habits or activity, but if you were to lose over 10lbs in 4 weeks every month, I would think it to be unhealthy and coming off too fast. Losing weight too fast seems to make it too easy to put it back on. I have started a plan to lose weight several times and find it easy to lost 8-10 lbs in the first 1-2 weeks because as someone else mentioned in the beginning, you lose a lot of water weight if you decrease your salt intake and you stop drinking soda or things that often make you retain water. I would contribute your weight loss to your appetite change being that you couldn't find anything decent to eat. As long as you are eating and making healthy choices, I wouldn't worry too much unless you continue to have a drastic change in your appetite, then you may want to seek medical attention to see if it is a medicine your taking, or what could be the cause. Otherwise, if you want or need to lose weight, just continue to eat your 3 meals a day and snack healthy and you should be fine : )

I am a guy, so that is equal to 2 of you, so instead of 10, I lost 20 pounds in 1 month.
I did it on chicken bologna and I forgot what else.
It was a little extreme and I had to get a milk shake and sit 30 minutes afterward before I could stand without feeling dizzy. So, I added one apple a day and was fine.
So don't forget, an apple a day keeps you from being a dizzy dame.
Of course I was younger and not diabetic when I went on my crash diet.
I see that you are not purposely on a diet. I suggest varying your diet from hotdogs and bologna.
Me, I am supposed to keep a 2400 mg sodium limit. Ha, 1 can of chilli is that much.

It is possible for a severely overweight person to loose that much under strict Medical directions but for the rest of us, including those who are a few lbs overweight it would be extremely dangerous to even contemplate.

If you are on a diet, that's great. If not on a diet as you seem to indicate I would see a Dr. about your appetite. There are plenty of decent things to eat.

It's fine. Just eat lots of fruit, veggies, & whole grain products. Avoid white flour at all costs.

Sorry. I don't think so. Any time I have lost weight fast, it always came back with a bonus!
