    y=bx-c

    Add 'c' to both sides it gives

    y+c=bx-c+c

    or y+c=bx

    now divide both sidesby 'b' giving

    (y+c)/b=bx/b

    i.e (y+c)/b=x

    or b= (y+c)/b

    Given y = bx - c, solve for x.

    First, attempt to isolate x by adding c to both sides. We have:

    y + c = bx

    Lastly, to isolate for x, divide both sides by b:

    ∴ x = (y + c) / b

    Your objective here is to get x alone. So,since x is with a b (bx),first get bx alone.

    1)Add both sides by c.

    y+c=bx (c here is cancelled.)

    2)Since bx is now alone, we have to get x alone.

    Divide both sides by b.

    Then, the answer will be

    x=(y+c)/b

    To solve for x, make x the subject of the equation:

    y = bx - c

    y + c = bx

    Ans: x = (y+c)/b

    y=bx-c

    Add c to each side of equaton

    y + c = bx

    Divide both sides of equation by b

    y/b + c/b = x

    x = y/b + c/b = (y + c)/b

    y = b*x - c

    Solve for x means isolating it!

    y + c = b*x

    x = (y + c)/b

    x = (1/b)*y + c/b

    y=bx-c

    y+c

    ----- = x

    b
