Do british people sit around imitating american accents?

Well since americans sit around imitating british accents i was wondering if the british try to talk like americans?

Update:

i didnt know californians had accents :/ wat is it like?

    Yes.

    We Either Do The Californian Accent, The HillBillys, Texan or Jersey But Sadly You Guys Are Only Stuck With The One Posh "English" Accent

    Not so much as the US plays with the British. I think it's because the UK has such a wide variety of accents that they don't need to play with other country's accents. You're more likely to find a Brit throwing on a West Country, Northern, Welsh, Dublin etc. accent rather than an American. Unless of course the Brit in question is an actor then yeah, they practise their US accents a lot!

    No as far as i saw of my friends THEY OBVIOUSLY DONT

    In fact they have a hard time talking like Americans :P
