Does anyone else think it would be pretty cool to mix stoner rock with heavier music like thrash/deathcore?

They both have some common elements and themes like down tuned guitars, slow grooves, and emphasis on breakdowns. Some stoner rock songs like Run Pig Run by QOTSA have chromatic and atonal runs much like in thrash metal. Also there are some heavy and slow breakdowns like in War Nerve by Pantera that are very stoner rock-like. Sometimes stoner/ desert rock seems too slow and sometimes death/thrash metal seems to only focus on the emotion of anger and this tires easily. By combing these genres it would cover a wider range of emotions- anger, lust, depression, etc.- and this would be more appealing in my opinion. This would sound like High On Fire or Pantera; think a heavier QOTSA or Wolfmother. Thoughts?
