Oh yeah...I took up their "invitation" to find out what the new beta mail is like, and used it dilligently for about a week....and have just today told them to keep their piece of s...t and returned to the old format!
You can not delete while in the viewing pane. You can not move an email to a folder from the viewing pane. Each and every time you have to go back to the inbox so you can "select" the email to delete or move.
You can not just delete from the inbox without first viewing the email. You HAVE TO open up the email into the viewing pane and then go back into the inbox to select and delete.
If you want to return to your old format, go into "help" and select "return to original mail" or whatever that message is. It works. I did it and I couldn't be happier!
I didn't try to forward any mail while I had the beta up and running, so I can't tell you how to do that, but judging by how the email is (not) working for the other methods, why don't you try returning to the inbox and then checking the box for that email and hitting forward?

Glad you asked because I'm having that same problem and just figured I was being a dunce in not figuring it out on my own!
I only downloaded it because Yahoo said we'd all be changed over to the new format soon....like we're not going to have a choice in the matter. But after reading the other posts, I'm going to try to go back to the old one....and keep with it for as long as I can.
"New and improved" isn't always what it's cracked up to be!

It seemed easy enough to use but I hated that they put the flags on the right. Since I use a zoom level above 100% to read my mail and want to flag some to read/answer later, I quickly grew tired of having to scroll so far right and left just to see which emails I wanted to keep and which I would delete. I went back to regular mail.

This is why I didn't download it. Unless I am mistaken, it is not a requirement, but they prefer you do it, from what I read. If you click 'try it,' it says you can always go back to the original yahoo email set up. I'm leaving mine alone. Every time I download something new at yahoo or hotmail, I get all balled up.

I'm having the very same problem as you mentioned.
I will give it a couple more days, and if it isn't fixed by then, I will also return to the old mail process.
Why do they keep "fixing" what isn't "broken" anyway?

Yes I did and did not like it and went to my old classic one..just go to options and click to change it back and a little window will pop up asking why you want to change and I told them and then hit the submit and everything went back to normal for me..I don't like changes...and I will not do that again..=)

I tried it once and didn't like it so I switched back. Yahoo is always screwy with glitches, so you can guess their new mail will be also.

I gave it a shot, but was totally unhappy with it. Locked up my computer at times, did lots of other dumb stuff, so I switched back and am happy again.

So typical of YAHOO....they always seem to be having problems.
