Where do I go for intelligent conversation?

I've been analyzing my life a lot lately and I've come to the conclusion that many of my problems are related to a single unfulfilled need - intellectual discussion and/or debate.

As a matter of fact, much of the reason I spend so much time here on YA is because it allows me to express intelligent thoughts (to an extent... I mean it is what it is) but it isn't enough. I need to engage in a two-way dialog with people.

Now to narrow it down a little, I can't download YIM (it's complicated and stupid but I can't) and I don't really know anyone in person. A browser-based chatroom would be ideal but I don't know where to find one (well... where to find one that isn't adults only if you know what I mean),

Help me!

I like the site WireClub. I've had some really good chats and bad ones in the same room on different nights. Sometimes all people do is say hello. Other times, you get a great chat going. Look for rooms without a zillion people. The conversation gets convoluted because you can't tell who is responding to whom.

You can join an organization for intelligent people. Where do you work? Are there smart people there? You can find people who can have intelligent conversations anywhere. The best option would be join a club for the gifted, like Mensa or any high IQ society. On the internet it's hard because it is written language. When you talk face to face it would be easier.

Chat rooms. Uh no I don,t think so. You gotta keep looking for someone who understands where your coming from in any conversation or you might as well be talking to yourself. It,s not as easy as many may think. I find most peoole to be self obsorbed with themselves and there soap opera lifes. Not caring to know about anything else. The world is filled with so much to learn and talk about. But not to many see much of anything as it passes right before there eyes. Common sense is no more. Have a good one.
