Will Obama achieve his goal of making the US as poor as any third world country?

Not that the people who voted for this schmuck wouldn't deserve it, but the American people have always been better than their politicians.

This is a hiccup. Even if Obama somehow managed to destroy all the wealth, we'd be back with a vengeance within a decade.

Obama has had one month of 10%+ unemployment. Reagan had 10 months. He also had the highest ever post WW2 unemployment level.

Obama had this level in the year he took office, it was the high rate which was a steady increase from the Bush days.

He has seen unemployment drop by 1% in the last year. When you say "poor" do you mean rich people or the normal working class people? Because it seems the republicans like recession, the money disappears somewhere, it is normally in the pockets of the rich who hoard it and keep wages exceptionally low.

To prove my point look at every recession since WW2, all but one started under a Republican president, the only one that didn't was Harry Truman's recession.

So chances are Obama is making people richer, after Bush made poor people much poorer because they can't get a job! And you blame Obama for what Bush did?

I remind you that Mexico, Iran, Haiti, Zimbabwe, and Ireland ALL use PURE Capitalism in the Republican sense of the term, and all have been in permanent depression for decades, and sometimes centuries.

I also remind you that America has entered depression three times, and each time when Republicans were in charge of the Presidency and the Congress and instituted pure Capitalism. That would be in the 1890's with the Long Depression, the late 1920's with the events that led to the Great Depression, and in the last decade with the Great Recession.

And only when Democrats were in charge did any recovery from those depressions come. You have a problem with third world poverty, than why do you suggest we follow the Republican economic ideas that led those countries into third world poverty..and three times led this country to the same?

You are in error. That is the goal of the corporations who run this country. They will keep destroying the middle-class in this country so that they can pay workers less and less. US citizens work longer hours and for less pay than they did 20 years ago. Do you see what is going on? They will bring back jobs to this country when we are willing to work for what they pay in India or China.
