Which statistical test to run?

I am doing a study for school about how attendance rates in a class vary with the weather. For each week of fifteen weeks in a semester, I have the average temperature and the average number of students absent per week. I am not sure which statistical test to run in order to analyze my results. Please help!

    One way you could do this is to work out the correlation coefficient between the two sets of data. The absolute value of the correlation coefficient would indicate whether or not there was any relationship between the two of them.

    Since both sets of data are numerical, then Pearson's correlation coefficient would be best, but that is not easy to calculate. You could use Spearman's rank order correlation coefficient which is much easier to calclulate but is less reliable.

    The two sets of data are not independent, which makes the first guys answer a good one.

    I believe the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test will be fairly accurate, and it is very simple to calculate.

    You could also use The Sign Test.

    Both of these are nonparametric procedures. Which is good if the sample is small and/or the differences are not normally distributed.

    If you Google these things or if you look them up in your book you should be able to figure them out quite easily.
