Compare the Pain Of Tattoo to something painful?

I recently gotten my first tattoo and I compared the pain to someone scratching you with something hot repeatedly. I'm deathly afraid of needles but I got one anyway and it wasn't that bad. Its tolerable. If you can't handle the pain just ask for a few breaks in between.

Its not painful, just abit irritating in some places, other places feel nice, like a vibration :) If you really want a tattoo don't be worried about the pain, its nothing compared to what people say it is...

I'm very heavily tattooed and the place that hurts the lest is the upper arm. And it still hurts no lie. At first it is kind of annoying then it becomes very painful and starts to feel like a razor cutting at your skin. But if you really want it it is so worth it!

any place with more muscle and fat between the skin and the bone will hurt less. this is because our nerves are packed more densley around the bone and the muscle and fat provides a cushion. (ex: thigh, upper outer arm, bikini area, calf, buttox will all hurt less than the ankle, wrist, neck, foot etc.) and though the pain varies from person to person and body part to body part, ive heard it most often compared to a bad cat scratch (when the cats claw drags a little more in your skin). and i always hear that its worth it :)

Not painful just annoying

Touch around your body. If you feel a lot of fat it will hurt less. You feel bone it will hurt more

Like a cat stratching you in the same place over and over while u have a sunburn. But its not that bad. The spot gets numb after a while.

Well, a friend once told me it feels like a kitten licking your skin, and she was wrong. lol

It is like 1000 tiny bee stings in the same area, and yes it is uncomfortable but I wouldn't call it painful. Everyone is different! I have on on my foot, hip, and lower neck. Least painful was hip, because it is more fleshy.

im deathly afraid i faint at the sight of them. if you mentaly prepare yourself that its worth it. i didnt feel much pain. it feels like someone putting a thumb tack in ur skin and dragging it. but if u r ready and know its going to hurt but you dont care you can do it. just ask for the artist to turn a fan on you it makes it 10x easier

Having a something hot (a match) repeatedly put on your skin.... BUT I hate needles and I can handle a tat... You can too! :)

for me i think theyre like cutting yourself with a razor shaving, with vibrations.
