What happens if a diabetic wound heals from the outside in?

I have had one of those wounds since September and two of the smallest ones seem to have healed with the yellow bacterial layers still in the wound, which the wound physical therapist did not want to happen. I'm still waiting to see the wound doctor, but getting an appointment is frustrating to say the least. He works half a day on Wednesdays only.

It may have to be lanced and/or you will need an antibiotic.

If a wound heals over but with infection or foreign matter trapped inside, it will often become infected inside and will need opening, drainage and healing all over again. You need to keep a wound clean, flushed out frequently, packed with gauze if necessary while it heals so it heals from the inside and seals at the opening only at the final stage.

I think like any wound it will leave scar that can be very hard to get over. I unfourtunatly live every day with one of these scars but you learn from them and learn to live with them. Yes i do think the mark of love never goes and this scar as such can fade but it will always be there to remind you, wich isnt always a bad thing i think, you need something to learn from your mistakes with to help you grow and move on. This is my opinion anyway <3
