Me!
Its tax payers who have payed for it
Just because they are royal, its on TV
In a few years time, Friday 29th will just be another day of for school kids with no meaning
Why not make every wedding that happens a bank holiday?
Its overated, the countries in trouble, and then there's a wedding on TV which no doubt, cost in the millions.
It makes no sence!
Its going to be history?
So how about people who haven't got much money... is there's going to be history too.
Yes, they are Royal, it doesn't make then any more special then everyone else, as we have all earned a way of life! Just because they CAN afford to make a big deal and buy expensive things for the big day, but I wonder how they got the money!
In my opinion, something that's giving to some one in need, such as DIY sos, The secret millionaire, are much more deserving to someone, that a wedding that will be 'history'

I am one of them, I admit, I just don't share the feeling of excitement for them as much as anyone else. Here is why:
We have all these people saying we're getting further in debt, money is tight for us, and then she walks down the aisle in an Alexander Mcqueen dress! The wedding must have cost a fortune, but for the royals, of course money is no object right?
It just takes the magic out of it knowing that wedding must have been rehearsed 100 times to check that nothing they said was improper. Even the vows would have been written for them by an adviser I am sure of it. There's no spontaneity. This is my main reason
They basically force us to sit in and watch the royal wedding by slowing down the buses and closing most of the shops so we can't really go anywhere.
Who knows what the future holds? My guess is Kate is gonna snap from the pressure and something big is gonna go down. It must be hard for them both to hold up the perfect couple act, what if they fall out and argue in front of the paparazzi??
They have this wonderful wedding and WE have to pay for it, even with all these cutbacks and redundancies

Well........
Just by being an average American guy in this time, I now know who Prince William, Princess Diana, Harry, and Kate Middleton are. And I have never actually gone anywhere in depth into the royal wedding.
So by never watching the news or reading about the wedding, I somehow know the names of those involved.
I don't know what to say.

We caught up with the Royal wedding ceremony final night and, sure, I did delight in it. that's beautiful to be certain a happy youthful couple get married and the bride's kinfolk wore extremely appealing outfits with elegant simplicity.

They are making a big deal out of it. I suppose it's special because their royal but then again every wedding is special. The wedding was definitely over publicised.

@123
cost millions , but you owe millions to the royals if your British . Without them there would be no royal navy ( its not just the name , it was actually commissioned by a royal ) there would be no empire , without the empire we would be poor as **** . They still bring in lots of revenue as the most famous monarchy in the world , as well as lots of sometimes unpublicised charity work .
The Ruling Monarch can still legally dissolve parliament , has to sign to go to war , and also all the military swear alliance to the queen . I'm pretty sure alot of them would rather serve her than any poxy politition .
The wedding showed great unity in ruff times ,thats the point , In dire times , people can still come together .
AND jeff , shut the f*ck up , these people will do more for the country than you ever will , and they provide people with a strong symbol of unity. Dont ***** about it .....

I don't care about them getting married-there is more of interest in the world, hope it lasts and I wish them luck. It isn't their fault that the media and an embarrassing section of the British public are creepily sycophantic.

. Here's one surprising piece of royal-wedding-related news, however: Only six percent of Americans really care about it.
Results from a new New York Times/CBS News poll showed that six percent of respondents are following news of the wedding.
Another example of the clueless mainstream media.

I completely agree. Also the person that tried to get off seeing that they care about their country because they are fascinated by celebrities getting married is hilarious. The average person is mesmerized by celebrities for some reason. I blame stupidity.
