Update:

Looks like we have our front row rotation. Country's starting props start for NSW and City's starting props on the bench for impact. Great to see Soward as starting 5/8 as well. We should get a good look at what he can do outside the Dragons structure. Really looking forward to this match.

YAD: Looks like Moltz is one step closer to being NSW starting halfback after being selected for Country on the bench.

Looking at the 2 teams it seems like Country is going to smash City. City has some good players but the Country team just has what City has and more. It's a no contest.

Plenty of attack on the City backline but there defense will really be tested. Hopoate is about the only one that I can see being a strength in defense. However I think Country's attack may be left wanting. I think the Country forward line will be a bit stronger though. I'd like to see Stewart and Minichiello in the NSW side. Both are in great form and could have a big impact, Stewart has certainly performed in the past.

Selection is predetermined before the fact

    Leaving this format questionable

Despite this, the people need entertainment

The Anzac Test needs a follow up slot

I'm aware it's his first year

Although Tariq Sims would have made heads turn

I'm stoked for players that have waited

for the opportunity to be in contention

It's incentive for the players and ensures

that NSW are competitive given QLD dominance

Move maybe 2 or 3 players from the country side into the city side and there is the best team for SOO.

Thank god Payne did not get picked. Don't need a overrated cheap shot merchant in the team.

hopefully Farrah gets the nod over grub Ennis to as he will cost us four or five penalties and the game.

MOLTZ!!! Great for Uate, Hoppa, Dwyer, Grant - fantastic

Moltzen is an amazing 7 so lol @ everyone crapping on about him. Look at his record if you even know who he is

Will be great to see how Soward fares and if he gets owned in defence when Beau Scott isnt there to tackle for him.

Agree with Abby about Corey Payne he easily could have made it - but I said that when he played for the Tigers too...

I love the look of the country side esp. the forwards.

Also Keating as citys 5/8 lol!. If thats the best they can do then they are in trouble. At least though that means Anasta is not in the mix for origin thank god.

I'm disappointed Payne isn't there, his current form definitely warrants a selection.

It'll be good to see how Soward goes, and to see the Farah vs Ennis battle again.

The big surprise was no Gasnier. I did expect him to play alongside Inglis in the test team but to not even make the City team was a shock. The rest of the sides looks as expected.

someone like Corey Payne who's been in excellent form would have been a much better option than Adam Cuthbertson... a player than often does not make the dragons 17.. what was Fitler thinking..

Also during the dragons game when Freddy said that he was looking at Cuthbertson in particular, I was hoping that he wasn't seriously considering him amongst all of the other quality backrowers.

YES! GO YOU GOOD THING TIM MOLTZEN!!! I can see it now: Mullen gets suspended this week, Moltzen starts at halfback, pwns all the n00bs, and is named captain/halfback of NSW, leads us to 3-0 series sweep, 6 straight series wins, everyone forgets about QLD's dominance. :)

Agree with the props. 4 good solid players starting for city/country. Bit confused about Symonds, and does Cuthbertson even get consistant game time for the Dragons? Meh, still happy with the majority of players named.
