Is Islamaphobia real?

Islamaphobia means the fear of Islam.

Key word is FEAR.

Yet, every time I see something on the news about Islamaphobia it looks a lot more like hate not fear. I have a fear of dogs and you will never catch me walking up to a dog tempting it.

It's kind of like sugar coating hate.

Maybe there are seriously people out there who are seriously scared, shaky hands type, of Islam and Muslims. But whats the word for those who just purely hate it?

And should politicians be able to talk down a religion? Shouldn't they know the first amendment by heart? Yet many politicians stood to speak out against Islam.

It does imply hate as well as fear. For example, I don't think most homophobes are scared of gays. They hate gays. Islamophobes hate Islam, but it's an irrational hate, which is why we call them phobic.

  • It's usually hate though people who actually believe media about the ~terrorism~ thing can develop fear.

You see here, I don't think here that islam is a bad thing. the media makes it sound like this. I've been living in a muslim country and it feels just like living in any other place.

Yes, there do seem to be. I remember having an argument with some guy on some forum about it. He was saying that as far as he knows everybody is terrified by seeing traditional Saudi (for instance) costume on a plane. I and other people said no, we didn't have this irrational fear of certain clothes.

He basically went on a rant saying we were pretending to be perfect and lying about not having this fear that obviously EVERYBODY has.

So yeah, there are some people with a fear of Arab costume.

The west has realised that Islam became into spreading very rapid between the Europeans and human beings. the only thank you to dam this unfold is by ability of scaring the persons in the west of Islam and Muslims by ability of labelling Muslims as terrorists and Islam and Koran as approaches to motivate killing and torturing, it fairly is under no circumstances what's Islam approximately. what's occurring in the midsection east is as a results of the land occupation by ability of Israel and the rustic. The presence of dictatorship leaders in ALL Muslims land appointed and supported by ability of the west to confirm 2 issues, First the inflow of oil to the western international places and 2nd to confirm protection of Israel. that's in simple terms what is going on. i'm a Muslims, I consistently had equivalent numbers of Muslims and Christians acquaintances. My grandmother's homestead became into shared with a christian relatives and we grew all up collectively loving and respecting Jesus and Mohamed. If there is non secular conflict now between distinctive faith in the midsection east is as a results of the fact the interference of the west using the previous regulations, divide and additionally you will function.

Unfortunately, yes! We tend to fear, then hate what we do not know. It is an affront to God! Concerning the politicians, consider it knee jerk, ignorance or constitutional illiteracy!
