Do you think Bin Laden would have been killed or captured years ago if so much focus wasn't diverted to Iraq?

no, because bush was more interested in his "legacy" in Iraq.

Seriously, what do presidents have to do with this? Seriously, like it was the troops that killed Bin Laden. We shouldnt be thanking bush or obama! And to think, Obama wanted to remove the troops. It was the Troops, and I personally am very proud of them. Thank you for serving our country! I am so proud!

Possibly, but we'll never know. We do know that the CIA and special forces tasked with tracking him down in Afghanistan were pulled out after only a few months to go to Iraq.

Yeah, no. This is the Bush policy on OBL announced over the fourth of July weekend in 2006. http://www.nytimes.com/2006/07/04/washington/04int...

You be the judge on if that was an effective policy.

    No...

OBL was killed in a country considered to be an ally , and was hiding in plain sight...

We thought him to be in the mountains of Afghanistan...

No, not really. Bush was right when he said that we would eventually get him.

no, it took a long time to track him down he was i deep cover. there was a one intelligence team assigned just to find him and him alone and they had plenty of resources but he was hard to find.

exactly, we have Bush to thank for that...How is it that Obama managed to get him 3 years into his presidency and Bush couln't do it in 8 years???

Its always easier to see what we should have done afterwards.
