where can i watch old movies?

Ok. I always like watching the really old movies of the past. by old I mean OLD! like black and white!

all those aliens movies (The Thing, The Day the Earth Stood Still, etc.)

I'm specifically looking for a movie from 1956. "It Conquered The World"

I want to watch it online. Does anyone know where I can for free?

You'd be better off watching AMC/TMC or a channel like that on television. They play so many black and whites...but honestly, OLD movies did come out before the 50s as well ;)

Yes, my two favorite actors of all time are John Wayne and Cary Grant. Here are some of my favorite classics: The Searchers is an awesome western, starring John Wayne. It has drama, comedy, action, adventure, and romance. I think it made AFI's 100 greatest movies list. Bringing Up Baby starring Cary Grant and Katharine Hepburn is probably the funniest movie I've ever seen. Of course, Kate tends to talk a lot and my husband says she gives him a headache but I love it. The Adventures of Robin Hood starring Errol Flynn. This is a great movie on so many levels, the acting, the costumes, the scenery, the swordplay, and one of the greatest legends of all time. This is definitely the best film version of Robin Hood. Any of the Fred Astaire/Ginger Rogers movies. Top Hat, Swing Time, and Shall We Dance are my favorites. The choreography is nothing less than amazing. Cat On A Hot Tin Roof starring Paul Newman & Elizabeth Taylor is a good one too. I usually don't care for either Newman or Taylor but I do like this movie. The Sands of Iwo Jima starring John Wayne is probably one of the best war movies ever made. I could go on but I'd better stop there.

There is a tv channel called TCM (Turner Classic Movies) It plays silent movies to late 80's i've heard. I don't know if you get this channel where you are, i don't. But here is the website!
