Do you think the al-Qaida leaders are shaking in their sandals?

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia – Saudi Arabia says an al-Qaida member on the kingdom's most wanted list called from abroad and turned himself in.

Interior Ministry's spokesman Maj. Gen. Mansour Al-Turki said in a statement Wednesday that Khaled Hathal Abdullah al-Atifi al-Qahtani contacted the security authorities from an undisclosed country and expressed his wish to come home.

Al-Turki did not say when al-Qahtani was brought back to the kingdom, but many from the group fled to Yemen after a crackdown.

Al-Qahtani was reunited with his family and his surrender will be taken into consideration while looking into his case, Al-Turki said.

Al-Qahtani is apparently the first al-Qaida operative to surrender after its leader Osama bin Laden was killed on Monday.

I find it sad that you're so clueless.

It doesn't change much but at least they know we have a leader who will actually finish the job no matter how long it takes.

We supported the Taliban under the premise that if Russia was their enemy, then that made them our friend. They were able to use American supplied weapons against our soldiers. Most of the Mideast was cheering in the streets when our House and Senate became Democrat dominated in the last election. We need to wake up. Bush has not handled the situation, but a bleeding heart in his place will give Americans a real wakeup call.

I would like to see a bloodless end to all the terrorism. If that means more of the same with others turning themselves in, then so be it. But will the Saudis actually do anything to these people? To stop them from committing their terrorist acts, I mean?!

We know they may run and hide, but we 'will' find them. That was proved with Bin Laden, even though it took time. Our resources have improved over the last 9 yrs and we have what it takes to search out these snakes and rid the world of their poison. The terrorism fight goes on and God Blessed America with the justice we sought Laden's master minding, and will keep on doing so as long as we keep God in the equation. I like what Bush said years ago that we would seek Laden out and get him. Never under estimate the power in the U.S. with the Lord God almighty leading and directing.

I think they are shaken up, but if they are the soldiers they say they are then they should be more resolved than ever to accomplish their objective. Now, Bin Laden is a martyr.

They may be thinking twice, but I don't see any of them surrendering to the US, even though that would probably be the safest way for any of them to go. Good question, I didn't see that. Let's only hope. At least they know we mean business.

They probably know that the Navy SEALS walked out of the Bin Laden compound with all their names, addresses, telephone numbers, and email account info.

I agree with most of the Answers Spike, so I can't add anything that hasn't been already said.

But your question reads like a "who's who", in the alphabet soup contest.

(I'm joking, I envy you for your spelling capabilities.)

I think they have feared capture or death for a long time. Not sure that they are any more fearful just because Osama was killed.

In a perfect world one would hope that this is the case. But these are brainwashed cult members whose prophet is a child molester.

When executed the United States should place the remains of the next executed al-qaida leader in a barrel of pork rinds and cheap beer then toss them into the ocean. That might get their attention.
