I'm going on a tour of Ireland next month and plan to stay in Dublin for a few days. I would like to visit a pub, (maybe two, or three, or four ;>} ) for a cold Guiness, a meal, and traditional music as well.

Any one know of such a place, or any helpful suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you.

and I have read that the Euro is the money that's used. Is the Euro used in Northern Ireland also ?

Can I exchange US Dollars for Euros at the Dublin airport, can I get Euros through a bank ATM, or, should I buy Euros in the States before I leave home ?

Also, what is a good tip for prompt service ?

Our group is going to Ireland for a 10 day tour, and are meeting in Dublin on Friday, to see a little of the City before we leave on Sunday, We thought a Friday evening at a pub, for dinner, with traditional Irish music, being played LIVE by a local band (not tapes or cd's), would be a nice way to kick start out tour.

Nothing makes a tourist happy, like a round or two of Guiness :>)

Our hotel is located in downtown, Dublin.

I'm traveling with 7 of my friends to Dublin International Airport and will need a ride into downtown Dublin. I know we will need 2 cabs, do they charge per person, or can 4 ride in each cab for one flat rate ? And how much are we expected to tip for good service?

I would like to ask a question or two about Dublin Ireland, but I don't see it on the list of cities.

I read an article on Yahoo news, and would like to add a comment, but the section is now blocked with a little whirly gig doo hickee. I used to be able to comment, but now I can't.

I abide by the user rules, and I haven't changed anything on my computer, is this something that Yahoo has done ?

I have to take a typing class and was told by the instructor that my computer keyboard was NOT the same as a conventional typewriter.

Other than the do-dad, that rolls the paper back and forth, I don't see ANY significant differences.

I would like to take the ferry boat, from Digby NS, cross Bay of Fundy, to St Johns, however, the map doesn't show exactly where the landing in Digby is. I would like to know, so I can have my car in line for the 8am trip.

Halifax to Cape Breton? I plan to drive along the coast, and I have so many questions about gas stations (?), restaurants (?), comfort stations (?), etc. Also, the road and terrain.

I have a small hand held radio, with a hard rubber outer case.

The case feels like it has syrup or jelly on it, and is "sticky" to the touch.

I tried to wipe it off with 409 cleaner, but that doesn't work.

Should I use a dab of rubbing alcohol, or vinegar, on a cotton swab ?

Every time I "search" for something, like airline tickets, a pop up comes on, trying to sell something else, completly different.

I have put my pop up blocker on HIGH, but I still get them through Microsoft Internet Explorer.

Why do they make the boys bikes with the bar at "CRUNCH" level ?

Wife and I plan to go to Germany in June, and would like to bring a Coo Coo clock home.

Starting in Frankfurt, we will be touring the entire country, and will be looking for authentic, German (quality) clocks, not something made in Mexico or China (I can get those at Disneyland)

Any ideas as to where I might find this "beauty" ?
