Anyone know of a pub that plays traditional Irish music, live, on Friday night in Dublin?

Our group is going to Ireland for a 10 day tour, and are meeting in Dublin on Friday, to see a little of the City before we leave on Sunday, We thought a Friday evening at a pub, for dinner, with traditional Irish music, being played LIVE by a local band (not tapes or cd's), would be a nice way to kick start out tour.

Nothing makes a tourist happy, like a round or two of Guiness :>)

Our hotel is located in downtown, Dublin.

Update:

Irishlad and Flukey, thank you for your ideas and suggestions. There are certainly no shortage of watering holes in Dublin (good), and more than likely, we will do our best to patronize most of them.

loll as if we need an excuse ;>}

    There are loads of them. I'd recommend a pub called O'Neil's its near Grafton Street and the Molly Malone statute. Upstairs they have a trad and ballad session every night. They also serve food earlier in the evening.

    The Brazenhead down by Christchurch is also good. It is touristy marketing itself as Dublin's oldest pub, but as 'tourist' pubs go it is a nice one.

    There are loads of them in temple bar but these are all overpriced tourist traps where you'll spend a fortune on drink and get the most cliche stereotypical stuff and you'd meet very few Irish people as its all tourists there.

    All listed so far are good. Just across from The Brazen Head is the Merchant, another pub where Irish music is played. The Cobblestones in Smithfield is another. Gogarty's in Temple Bar is good. The Arlington on Bachelors Walk and the Arlington on Lord Edward Street are both good too. Your hotel will also have information.
