Yahoo Answers is shutting down on May 4th, 2021 (Eastern Time) and beginning April 20th, 2021 (Eastern Time) the Yahoo Answers website will be in read-only mode. There will be no changes to other Yahoo properties or services, or your Yahoo account. You can find more information about the Yahoo Answers shutdown and how to download your data on this help page.

can't I make a comment to the Yahoo articles?

I read an article on Yahoo news, and would like to add a comment, but the section is now blocked with a little whirly gig doo hickee. I used to be able to comment, but now I can't.

I abide by the user rules, and I haven't changed anything on my computer, is this something that Yahoo has done ?

I guess I'm forced to call Yahoo customer service, but I will wait until I have a week to waste, unless someone has a better idea.

Thanks for any help. I'm anxious to get back and voice my opinion (in a friendly way).

Update:

Thank you Sambra and American. Your probably right, it's a Yahoo thing and not muxh can be done about it and I will put up with it for now.

I just wished that Yahoo would take that twirlly little wheely gadjet off the page. It's so stupid, and useless.

Have a good day,,,, ; ) OG

Update 2:

It's time to choose a BEST ANSWER, and that's not easy. Sombra, your answer was thoughtful and on-point, and your "background history" is very impressive. "Top Contributer, 35% Best Answers", and a member for almost 3 years. Very nice, and I thank you.

But I'm going to choose American. American has no "Best Answer's", and has been on-board for about a year.

Thank you both.

OG

The exact same thing happened to me 10 days ago. Just a swirling asterisk that appears the page is on continual load. Cannot make a comment, cannot read MORE comments. This is definitely a problem with Yahoo as I have cleaned the cache, made sure software is up to date and done everything that others have suggested. This all started when that bloody little pop up ribbon at the bottom of the screen started so guess more advertising for Yahoo means a lot less comments from readers. Oh well, maybe some day they will fix it as not everyone is affected, but there sure seems to be a lot more that are affected. Guess we will have to discuss our opinions with our friends and family instead of the world. Maybe this is a good thing : )

LOTS of users are complaining about the same problem these past few days. And anytime LOTS of users are encountering the same issue, the problem is with the SITE (Yahoo!), rather than with individual users.

Meaning ... it's nothing you said or did, and it's not your computer.

There's really nothing we can do for you here ... this category is for questions/problems with Yahoo! Answers, and there is NO 'Yahoo! Products' subcategory specifically for Yahoo! News. If you have a specific question about Yahoo! News (articles, or the service itself), you could post in 'Other--Yahoo! Products'.

If you just want to make your complaint known, you can post it on the Yahoo! NEWS suggestion board:
