Why doesn't obama want to release photos of bin laden?

I think he's dead..... If obama was making it up, wouldn't he make it up in about a year closer to election time right when the conservatives are nailing him for being incompetant with foreign policy? I also think that the photos will be leaked.... by somebody... probably through wikileaks.
