I need help on how the scoring for the Army ASVAB test works?

I need help trying to figure out what a GT score is and a CO(combat) is.

I know that for the GT score you need to use this formula (2VE+AR+MK)

but for CO its AR+CS+AS+MC but CS(coding speed is no longer in the ASVAB test so im just confused on how it works now.

    SC—Surveillance and Communications—VE+AR+AS+MC

    ST—Skilled Technical—GS+VE+MK+MC

the only real scores most people will need to worry about unless you are going for a mechanich or some other tech skill job is the GT score and the ASVAB. If you want to become an officer or something like that your GT Score will need to be over 110. Your ASVAB score will be what percentile you fell in of the soldiers taking the test on that day.

  • They are changing the fields on scoring the ASVAB. Your GT score is the average over all of the fields. What you are referring to with the (2VE+AR+MK) is for determine what your score is for a particular job. The GT comes from all of the combined scores.
