I happened to hear an answer to this question on some situation comedy once: the woman's answer was "he painted my house." Now that may be just a made-up story but I think that for many of us who have been in relationships (myself included) it is true that the day to day practical kindnesses, big and small, add up to being more romantic than the occasional wine and roses.

It doesn't matter because whatever people do that's romantic for us is just to get in our pants. WE HAVE TO BE SMARTER THAN THAT. It's all a load of crap , anyways.
