how far before it is abuse?

he pushes me around, has kicked me, slaps me, and most recently shoved my face into hot pizza. It didn't really hurt, but he has called me "pizza face" since like it is a joke to him. He blames me as always, i acted "out of control" becuase i yelled at him when i didn't like what he was saying. Yet i never leave. I have no where to go.

    Why do you never leave?

I asked my girlfriend and she suggests the following: You would give him a lesson. You would arrange with a friend to go stay with her.

How? -> Go home, leave a note on the counter that you can't take this anymore. "I am a great person and deserve better." "You don't reserve me; you deserve someone way down there in the gutter." "Good luck."

Let him freak out and try to make amends. He will contact you. Accept the amends only if you agree that he will really make an effort. When you go back, make sure you get the upper hand in the relationship. Question his actions. Always ask him "do you mean that you will get better?" Tell him, "you will think about it," before you go back. And so on.

    Good luck!

Anything beyond a playful shove or hit (never hard) is abuse. So that is definitely abuse! Try to find somewhere, anywhere to go. Even if its not IDEAL, its better than where you are now.
