What are some good reliable laptops I could get in the $500 range?
I'm planning on getting a new laptop. My old one can't even hold a charge anymore, so I'm looking for a more reliable.
I'd like one I can use for homework. I'd also like to use it for music (I have 700-1000 songs on my old computer, can't remember since I haven't used it in a while) and to play The Sims 3 without it slowing down my computer. I'm not sure how much memory that would require on my computer.
I'd like a CD ripper too, but I think that's standard in laptops.
I'd like one in the $500 range.$400-$500 would be preferred but I can go up to $600.
I'd also like t buy it from either amazon.com or walmart.com for shipping/sales tax reasons.
Thank you.

I'm not sure how much it'll be in dollars, but Dell laptops are very reliable and only start getting slow around the fifth year of use. They're about £400.
Also, Toshiba is too. They hardly ever get slow and they're fast, they also hold a lot of memory.
Hope this helped. :-)
