Sounds like you blew a seal better top the oil off and get it fixed or have the engine replaced if the lower end pistons, rods are broke or damaged.

Sounds like you threw a rod. This means that one of the connecting rods has actually came apart, and punched a hole through the side of the engine block. In which case, your engine is toast. Depending on how much damage was done, you may be able to get away with buying a "long block" or "short block", which will save you some money because most of the parts are coming off your old engine. I would take it to a trusted mechanic because finding out what is useable, what can be fixed, and what is garbage requires some special tools and training. Bad news is this can cost a pretty penny. Good news is you get a brand new car more or less!

    Good luck!

As hard as it is to judge without seeing it, I've never known of an engine to make a loud boom and then dump oil unless it had thrown a rod.

Your engine threw a rod and now, you need a new engine. You might get a good used one from the salvage yard or used engine importer. Rebuilt wouldn't be a bad deal. Stop trying to run this engine or it will blow up some more and burn the car to the ground..

Start shopping for an engine. Sounds like yours is toast, my friend ... I highly recommend Jasper Engines. Great engines, great warranty.
