Can anyone break down Vaughn's X-Men timeline?

From his first X-Men movie to the X-Men first class he has confused me immensely. His movies spawned sequels and origin spin-offs, but where does it begin and where does it end? I'm an X-Men fan, and I understand the source material is vast and often doesn't fit a straight and coherent timeline, but I don't understand how he could get so much wrong. Using the characters and the movies, (even the ones that aren't his,) can anyone post a comprehendable timeline? I'm really curious. And while you're at it, which characters, to you, has he ruined?

Vaughan's time line begins in the 50/60's when Xavier forms the original group of X-men. There are a few characters out of place and some inconsistency in origin stories. For example, Havoc (Scott's ('Cyclopes' Summers brother) is an only child and Beast takes a serum to turn him into a mutant, rather than a suppressing one, that simply delays his mutant transformation.

I'm not sure I understand your question, or maybe you are missing something - X-Men: First Class is Matthew Vaughn's first and only X-Men movie.
