Kenmore electric range, when the oven is on it beeps and shows F 10 as a message, what is wrong?

    Hi Julie, this is Mike The Home Depot Answer Man.

    According to the Sears technical department, error code F10 on an electric range indicates an overheating condition. This is a very serious problem which requires immediate attention.

    They suggest you unplug the unit until it can be serviced. Excessive overheating can cause considerable damage to your range.

    Call an appliance service company to look at your range ASAP.
