I don't know how old you are, so if you are under 21, don't drink, period, because I believe the total effect is bad while in biological development, mentally especially. But, if your body has matured (21+ years), and if you are health conscious like me, then you might like to know what I've heard. I've heard that the alcohol in beer lowers bad cholesterol and increases blood flow. I hear if you increase blood flow, then you increase the amount of oxygen that gets to your organs, which keeps them alive and healthy in the long run. The "French Paradigm" is tied to this, as Dr. Sarah describes in her article [1]. French people, despite their high cholesterol and carbohydrate diets, with their high tendency to drink wine frequently, rarely die from heart disease. The website: http://fyiliving.com/research/beer-aids-in-lowerin... confirms what I've heard through word of mouth[2] about the cholesterol too. That FYI writer says: "people who do not drink are known to have lower HDL levels, thus indicating that beer increases the HDL-levels in blood," and "this is beneficial from the perspective of cardiovascular health."

@sutter112 "mixed up" If you read the very detailed experiment that I referenced, you will find that professionals disagree with You. The name of the article for goodness sakes is "Beer Aids in Lowering Cholesterol". The wine resource was added, because wine and beer are correlated via alcohol, and they both are good for you in moderation according to both sources I listed.

Well I know that small amounts of wine are good for you, not too sure about beer though, if you have it in moderation and it helps you wind down a bit, then I suppose less stress would be good for you

It's because the beer drinker is lying to you

I think you got it mixed up with red wine. A small amount of red (dry) wine everday is good for your heart. But the alcohol part is not good for you at all, meaning beer is not good for you.

In small amounts beer is good for you if it helps you to relax and unwind.

In large amounts you are poisoning yourself as alcohol is a poison and is bad for your heart, liver, pancreas, kidneys and other organs.

Beer isn't actually good for you in anyway. It has no nutritional value. Bee is unhealthy, even if it's drinking moderatally.

    Your welcome dear.
