How long will my cake last in the fridge?
It is my mom's birthday on wednesday (two days from now) and i am baking her a cake. She is out of the house right now so it would be an optimal time to make it. I am using fondant, homemade icing, and box chocolate cake. Would it last (as in not crack or go stale) for wednesday? I will be putting it in the fridge and covering it with seran wrap.
To all the people commenting on my spelling... first, it was one word. Second, it's not a very typical word that I would EVER need to know how to spell. And lastly, I was using my cell phone. Ok, aside from that, Thanks everyone for the great information I am going to start making the cake now and I greatly appreciate all of your help. (And as for the cake being box, it's her favorite kind and she is practically addicted to it because it is the best chocolate cake in the universe. But thanks, I appreciate your concern for my mom's birthday cake.)

It will be fine for up to three days. regardless of whether you can or can't spell--I know how hard it is to post something using, for instance, a cell phone to type, so I prefer to give the benefit of the doubt when I see misspellings, etc--but an effort to show you can spell is something I'm sure your Mom would appreciate, too!

sponge cake, if made as close to to the date mandatory as conceivable, can frequently final as long as week , yet will maximum under no circumstances be at its terrific, yet will nonetheless be tasty :D Carrot cake is yet another well-known, and this might final greater or less an identical quantity of time as a sponge. What love, a box chocolate cake! I'm sure your mother would appreciate it more if you learned how to spell SARAN, Wednesday should be capitalized.
