How do you mix a honey poultice to heal a wound?
Is there a recommended time to leave it on? I've seen this work magic, but I can't remember how it was mixed.

The way I've seen it done is to just apply it straight. The sugars draw out the liquids and the ick, and help seal in the wound. Cover with guaze and then a bandana or bandaid (depending on the size), and change it frequently. (At least twice a day. More often if the guaze/bandaid is getting ooky.)
Of course, if it gets worse, see a doctor.

The next time you get a cut or scrape, first gently clean the wound with soap and water. Then, apply a thin film of honey over the affected area. It’s best not to cover the wound with a bandage; exposure to air speeds the formation of scabs.
